AMGEN: Second Quarter of 2011 Witnessed a Revenue Hike of 4% to $4.0 Billion

Amgen’s second quarter product sales for 2011 saw a spike of 8% to $3.9 billion.

The adjusted and GAAP Earnings per Share (EPS) for the second quarter of 2011 were $1.37 and $1.25, respectively.

PRNewswire via COMTEX/THOUSAND OAKS, CA, July 29, 2011/—Amgen (NASDAQ: AMGN) reported that during the second quarter of 2011, its total revenue increased 4 percent to $3,959 million compared to $3,804 million in the second quarter of 2010. In contrast with total product sales of $3,613 million in the second quarter of 2010, the second quarter of 2011 saw an increase in 8 percent to $3,893 million. A decline in other revenue due to certain milestone payments earned in the second quarter of 2010 caused the total revenue increase in the second quarter of 2011.
